The Start-up challenge

At Nophin, I joined the team as the Lead Product Designer, with a mission to explore how AI could revolutionize commercial real estate workflows. Our focus was to assess the viability of our product for deal screening and underwriting, determining its potential to streamline traditionally time-consuming processes in CRE.


We embraced rapid iteration, constantly refining ideas and building prototypes. We turned a SaaS product into an LLM integrated workflow using Cresa’s ability to automate financial analysis, sync market data, and run scenario analyses in real-time. Collaborating with engineers and analysts, I focused on quickly testing, learning, and improving the product’s user experience, driving toward the goal of making Cresa an indispensable AI analyst for CRE professionals.

Additionally, I worked on optimizing team dynamics and boosting overall productivity. Using my skills in product design, research, and management, I helped drive NophinAI's growth and success in the competitive prop tech market.

Exploration

As the Product Lead at Nophin, I led the exploration of AI-driven enhancements for Cresa, our AI-powered CRE screening analyst. Our goal was to alleviate inefficiencies in deal screening and diligence processes, which often involve sifting through complex documents, conducting manual data entry, and market research.


By automating the extraction and analysis of key financial insights from deal documents like rent rolls, T-12s, and operating memos, Cresa streamlined workflows for acquisition teams. The AI synced real-time market data, performed dynamic scenario analyses within Excel models, and benchmarked deals against predefined investment criteria.


This automation helped teams screen deals 10x faster, enabling them to focus on high-value opportunities. Cresa’s workflow automation also enabled instant memo generation and automated email summaries, transforming how acquisition teams operated and ensuring they never missed great deals.

Innovation was key

Scaling the product from 0 to 1, I was at the forefront of creating an intuitive, efficient, and industry-first solution that drastically improved deal screening speed and accuracy. We secured multiple rounds of funding, expanded our team and increased revenues all while keeping our users at the centre of the experinece.

Supporting our ML engineers with UX

In helping the ML team improve Cresa's model fine-tuning, the focus was on creating a seamless user experience that drives accurate and efficient deal screening for CRE professionals. My role primarily involved translating real-world user behaviors and feedback into actionable insights for the ML team to improve the model's decision-making process.
